Blessed Eid al-Adha

The administrative board of the Yemeni community in Ottawa extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to the great Yemeni people in general, and to the members of the Yemeni community in Ottawa in particular, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. We ask Almighty God to bring it back to everyone with goodness, blessings, and prosperity, and to grant our beloved country Yemen peace and security.

This year's Eid event included many entertainment segments and a variety of traditional dances, clearly reflecting the deep cultural and civilizational heritage of the authentic Yemeni people abroad. It also showcased the beauty and diversity of Yemeni heritage, contributing to strengthening the sense of belonging and connection to Yemeni identity among the younger generations.

The event also included the distribution of Eid gifts (Eidiya) to children, for whom Eid is a source of joy and happiness, and an opportunity to meet and get to know each other. It also introduced them to the ancient customs and traditions of Yemen, nurturing in them a spirit of love and brotherhood and reinforcing their connection to their cultural roots.

While the administrative board celebrates this blessed occasion, it emphasizes the importance of continuing such events that bring community members together and strengthen bonds of love and cooperation among them, praying to God to continuously bless them.
